Frontiers in Med Chem, Bonn

Charnwood Molecular will be exhibiting at Frontiers in Medicinal Chemistry in Bonn next week alongside Reach Separations. We look forward to meeting both existing collaborators and new clients.

Please visit us to pick up several new technical notes that we have available on our range of Synthetic Chemistry services for Drug Discovery programs.

The international symposium will focus on current developments, novel approaches and cutting-edge technologies in the field of medicinal chemistry and drug research with sessions on Target Identification & Lead Discovery, Allosteric Modulators & Modulation of Protein-Protein Interactions, Antibacterial Drugs, Structural Biology, and Highlights in Medicinal Chemistry and Technology. The scientific program will include plenary lectures, short lectures, and poster presentations. Furthermore, oral communications of (post)doctoral junior scientists will be considered. It is the goal of the organizers to make this meeting an event of scientific excellence, attractive to both industrial and academic scientists in Medicinal Chemistry and related fields of research.

Charnwood Molecular - Conferences March 2016

Charnwood Molecular is represented at the forthcoming Mastering MedChem symposium, with Dr David Lathbury speaking at the event.

The BMCS Mastering MedChem II: 2nd RSC-BMCS symposium on mastering medicinal chemistry takes place on 9 March 2016 in Huddersfield.

In the main there are two types of drug discovery programmes: those that hit serious problems and those that are going to hit serious problems. The difference between success and failure is how we, as medicinal chemists, tackle and resolve the problems.

Charnwood Molecular Joint Venture

Charnwood Molecular’s recent partnership to launch a new service identifying interactions between small molecules and protein targets has received recognition within the European Eurostars programme that part funded its development.

Working with French company, Hybrigenics, Charnwood used its expertise to link molecules for further analysis by the Paris-based company, using their yeast molecular biology machinery.

The venture is the result of a two year long commercial trialling phase, which was supported by European funding under the Eurostars programme.

ULTImate YChemH is a chemical biology tool for direct targets identification. This method is based on the well-established yeast two-hybrid (Y2H) technology.

More details are available on the Eurostars website here:
